ASHI Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR / AED Certification
We recommend that anyone wishing to obtain a CPR / AED certification work toward the BLS for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers course, which is the same certification as first responders and will make it easier to transition care to emergency responders. The course covers Adults, Children, and Infants CPR/ AED. During our courses, we will discuss with students how CPR changes based on scenarios and the availability of equipment, which may mean conducting hands-only CPR. (Non-BLS versions are available here.)
These courses are offered in Full Onsite and Blended formats (a combination of online and on-site). Students learn how to recognize a life-threatening emergency, how to provide essential life support, and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking.
